Thief 04:15
I cannot shake to doubt, that these rivers will dry, They were stolen by the drought, or devoured by the fire. You are the voice in the wandering, that I buried beneath, You are the stitch in the fabric, where I found blood in the seams. The lines are clear and we can always dream, In the distance we disconnect in neon stars and LEDs. They are the quiet lights where we can always dream. But you’re waking paralysed, where it’s too dark to see, And you finally realised, you were not so different. In the voice you overheard, you saw another world, You saw with other eyes, you were not so different. And though you’re just a stone, you are the solitary kind, They will sell you like gold, the will carve you to shine. The lines are clear and we can always dream, In the distance we disconnect in neon stars and LEDs. They are the quiet lights where we can always dream. No we don’t know who you are, no we don’t know, No we don’t know who you are. But you’re waking paralysed, where it’s too dark to see, And you finally realised, you were not so different. In the voice you overheard, you saw another world, You saw with other eyes, you were not so different.

We will fall into line, we will get better, But it's so clear this time, that if we could just, settle somewhere. But in the colony of crime, We will cheat and we will lie through our teeth. Cover secrets with scars carved in company's quiet, Quietly waiting, for somewhere to breathe. We are falling apart, I should have known better. False speech and false start, a flight without feathers. I will choke but never conquer the wind. I am broken, I am breaking the skin. And I saw the storm, I saw what it could bring. But if I thought you never wanted this, then I could turn away, But if I thought you never wanted this, then I could find my back. There is something you saw, there is something you saw, There is something you saw, there is something you saw. But we were lost beneath this skyline, the smoke burned your chalk dust eyes, And in the weight of their reflection, and under these callous skies. We learned, that all we are is nothing at all. But if I thought you never wanted this, then I could turn away, But if I thought you never wanted this, then I could find my way back. There is something you saw, there is something you saw, There is something you saw, there is something you saw. There is something you saw, there is something you saw, That carved the words, that cut you up. There is something you saw, there is something you saw, And now you're too scared to swim.

Runaway 03:49
There’s nothing left for you and me, but the belly of the sun as it descends below the sea. Painting mountains like a blackboard, counting down the days a haze of chalk dust on our feet. So we can ride upon the darkness, a heart of you and me. And we won’t shiver when the moment comes to turn away and see, It’s not the same it’s not the same, so Runaway, cos I won’t be the one to hear you say, That you were drowning in this place, so Turn away, cos I won’t be the one that made you stay, When I am drowning just the same as you, So what do we do? There’s nothing left for you and me, and I don’t wanna be the rope that ties itself around your feet. So cut the cord and let me go, this is the place where we all know. What it is that we should do, but I’m too scared to see this through. No I don’t want to look and see, It’s not the same it’s not the same, as you and me. Runaway, cos I won’t be the one to hear you say, That you were drowning in this place, so Turn away, cos I won’t be the one that made you stay, When I am drowning just the same as you, So what do we do now? This is the place, this is the place, this is the place where we call home. This is the place, this is the place. But it’s not the same, as living. No it’s not the same as living, when you’re living on the edge. I’m sick and tired of pulling teeth, of wondering where I’m meant to be. When this is all that I call home. So I’m running from the blackness, with chalk dust on my feet. Cos you’re running from this city, with a part of you and me.

Saltwater 03:52
I didn’t know it was the sirens call, that dragged my body from the dead mans door. A coastal air will keep you breathing still. I should have left it well alone, but they took your money and they broke your home. The coastal air is here to keep you. And salt water drinks my bones, and it will counsel me to leave the dead alone. But salt water drinks my bones, and will carry me, and it will carry me. But it takes a little time, to work on what we know, we know. But it takes a little more breath than blood, to let it go. We should have left it on the shore. The smoke black skyline played the advocate to leave you wanting more or less. I must confess your conscious state is half awake. But it could have been so much more. And salt water drinks my bones, and it will counsel me to leave the dead alone. But salt water drinks my bones, and will carry me, and it will carry me. But it takes a little time, to work on what we know, we know. But it takes a little more breath than blood, to let it go. I hear the last count coming in I hear the pounding of the waves. I see the last lines running down Like a sea, across the page. But time wont wait, for me. Time won’t wait for me. But time won’t wait, oh no. If you don’t wait for me.

And I will see you, at the top of the world, out on the edge. Above the shadows we misread, and the steps that brought us here, when it all seemed so clear. But I’m not looking back, again. I am tired of waiting for something more, to fall from the sky and bury the lie that we know where we are, It’s at the center of everything. Are you colder than the rain, you promised we would be. When the dark devoured the stars and chilled the air in the breath as you said to me. That I don’t miss belief, when I’m gone you can take what you want, just let me scream. We were already broken, so why are we falling. There’s a boy in the corner and he’s staring at me, a violent hostage in the grip of a dream. Where your body is breaking but they are still burying me. Don’t let me be. I am tired of waiting, for something more. I dragged my footsteps back to your front door. It was laced with a sense of dread, To keep me outside my head. It was colder than the day, you promised we would be. Far from being strangers, far from how it seems. But I don’t miss belief, when I’m gone you can take what you want, just let me scream. We were already broken, so why are we falling. There’s a boy in the corner and he’s staring at me, a violent hostage in the grip of a dream. Where your body is breaking, but they are still burying me. Don’t let me be. And it’s in this hell, that we lost ourselves, From the control that kept us satisfied. And it’s in this hell, that we lost ourselves, In the melody that kept you alive. But when we wake up this time. And we’re forced into line. I swear we’ll be, the melody that held the frontline of the oncoming defeat. And you can look me in the eye. I said that I don’t miss belief. I just miss the sound of the melody, Where we will be lost on the front line of the oncoming defeat. And we will think of better times. Like the darkest stars, and the longest days. A forest of eyes and splinters of rain. I dream of you and the promise made. That we will keep ourselves awake. When they came for us, and we come undone. And we will see beyond the walls that us clean. I hope they bury me between your lungs.
